We've made a clothes window; we've compiled a clothes booklist. Now, the booksellers and Cake Shop staff give their answers to the Women in Clothes survey.
Natalia answers question 69: If you had to throw out all your clothes but keep one thing, what would you keep?
I had a cashmere cardigan I bought in Edinburgh that the moths got to. They ate little holes all over it, but I refused to throw it away. Eventually, I took it to my mother in El Salvador to see if she could save it. When I came to see her again a year later, she had bought tiny appliqué flowers and sewed one over each hole. It created a beautiful random pattern. I still have it; I still wear it.

I used to raid boxes in the family attics on the regular. Jet mourning jewellery from my Welsh great-aunts as a morbid teenager; fake pearls from the 1930s on rotting strings in sixth form; my grandmother's high school graduation ring when I left university.
