Natalia’s Spring Picks 2022

Selected by Natalia de la Ossa

Spring 2022 has seen such a great array of new fiction published: we’ve already had a new Gothic novel by the Mexican-Canadian author Silvia Moreno-Garcia, and a new novel from Chilean author Diamela Eltit (translated by Daniel Hahn, who’s Catching Fire: A Translation Diary, published simultaneously, narrates the process of translating Eltit's book). It’s a pleasure to see Francisco Goldman, a Guatemalan author, publish Monkey Boy after many years’ silence, and I’m looking forward to reading The Dance Tree for its plot of a woman who dances for days.
