The last limited edition pamphlet of recipes from the Cake Shop sold out in 48 hours, and that was before Lena Dunham wrote, in Vogue, that she is ‘obsessed with the cake shop that is attached to the London Review of Books bookstore, and the baker, Terry Glover, comes at it from a very spiritual and literary perspective … she is a maniac.’
02. Winter Recipes foregrounds the rich, complex flavours of seasonal produce: pumpkin, pine, blackberries, mushrooms and chestnuts. Like the shop menu, it’s largely plant-based with an omnivorous twist. It’s nutritious, but it’s also comfort food – dishes that will warm you up, lift your spirits and keep your immune system in fighting shape during the cold months ahead. As ever, at the bottom of most of the recipes, you’ll find notes on ‘the tasty bits’: the magical finishing touches that transform a recipe into a wholesome weekday lunch, a party centrepiece, or a thoughtful gift for a friend.
A two colour risograph, saddle stitched pamphlet. Now also available, 01 Summer Recipes and 03 Autumn Recipes.
